*-Questlove: "Black people covered Rundgren's songs.  Sometimes when I heard him, I thought that I was hearing a Black artist.  I knew I was hearing a Philly artist.  His song "Breathless" was on local TV as an interstitial.  I got back to him later, when J'DaVey and the Sa-Ra guys put me up to revisiting his work."

Silhouette *- Questlove: "Lots of us just stopped at the Headhunters' "God Made Me Funky" and didn't truly investigate the follow-up.  This is another Mobb Deep discovery, from "Drink Away the Pain."  (It's a funny song because it speeds up as it goes.  Same thing for "Sir Duke," actually.  Songs like that are interesting to use in a DJ set because they can invisibly accelerate things.)"
