Smokin' Room *-Questlove: "Right in the middle of the record is this song.  And when you start you're already right in the middle of the song.  The groove is going.  As it goes, as you walk through it or are walked through it, it becomes clear that you're the food delivery guy bringing food to their rehearsal space.  I imagine it as Chinese food.  I don't know if pizza culture was a thing yet."

Clockwork Creep Side 2 1. Silly Love 2. Somewhere in Hollywood 3. Baron Samedi 4. The Sacro-Iliac 5. Oh Effendi *-Questlove: "I was eventually aware of 10cc because of "The Things We Do for Love" and as the former home of Godfrey and Creme (videos for "Cry," Yes's "Leave It," and the Police's "Every Breathe You Take," among many others).  But I hadn't heard this before Dilla's Donuts sampled it.

Smiling, Styling & Profiling Side 2 1. Frame of Mind 2. (I've Got To) Use My Imagination 3. Fightin' Fire with Fire* 4. Would I If I Could 5. Be Yourself *- Questlove: "Lots of us tease the Bar-Kays for being so blatantly derivative, though that was part of their plan--better for them to record their own versions of songs than have to cover originals.  This song has a magical eight-bar breakdown at the 3:03 mark.  Chi-Ali used it--the Beatnuts sampled it for him--and I put it in the first remix I ever did, King Britt's "Gettin' Into It."
